Vaud-Villities 2009 presents
our 67th consecutive annual show and our
final year at Veterans Memorial Auditorium:

AMERICAN ORIGINALS

Enjoy a high-energy showcase of uniquely American music and dance. Broadway has always been an American institution and Vaud-Villities re-creates numbers from "Chicago", "Damn Yankees" and other popular shows from the Great White Way. Swing and Ragtime were born in the U.S.A., and are represented in musical numbers like "Doin' the Latest Rag," and "I Want To Be A Rug Cutter." Other highlights include songs made famous by legends such as George M. Cohan, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, and, yes, even Elvis.

Fast or slow, cool or hot, you’ll find a satisfying variety of musical entertainment in Vaud-Villities 2009 production of "American Originals." For ticket information, call 614-262-SHOW. Ticket prices are shown on the ticket order form.

The on-stage singers and dancers are all “local talent”, which many in the audience find hard to believe. These surprisingly talented performers are supported by a thoroughly professional orchestra with 20 of the best musicians in central Ohio.

All the work in designing and staging this exciting show is done by the cast and our volunteer technical crew. We make our own costumes, build and paint every setpiece, design the stage lighting, and manage the microphone and sound system.

A Columbus tradition
Franklin Roosevelt was the President when Vaud-Villities put on its first show. Every year since then, audiences from all over Ohio and surrounding states have been standing and cheering after every performance. Tour groups from as far away as North Carolina make Vaud-Villities a “must-see” springtime event.
