Vaud-Villities Productions
Vaud-Villities is a non-profit performance group which staged its first show in 1943. Every year since, it has dazzled audiences with a colorful, energetic music and dance spectacular which many have said rivals the best in professional musical theatre. One finds it hard to believe that the cast is comprised of an all-volunteer group of some 250 local dancers and singers, ages 18 to 80 who love performing, but who have other jobs or careers. What's more, it's incredible to see awesome stage sets, scenery, props and costumes designed and constructed by a Technical Crew consisting mostly of cast members.
Rehearsals and all show preparations take place at their facility, Northland Performing Arts Center (NPAC) located at 4411 Tamarack Blvd., just south of Morse Road. It is on the first floor of the old JCPenney building, which was saved from demolition to become the home for Vaud-Villities and to be shared with other community groups.
